Privacy Policy
How Selfie Cam collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
This privacy policy explains how Creative Collective Ltd ("we", "us", "our") handles personal data collected through the Selfie Cam marketing website (eventselfiecam.com). It does not cover the Selfie Cam product itself when deployed at events - those activations have their own activation-specific policies generated for each campaign.
1. Who we are
Creative Collective Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed via this website.
- Registered address: 24A Baggot Street Upper, Dublin D04 N528, Ireland
- Contact email: [email protected]
If you have any questions about this policy or wish to exercise your rights, email us at the address above.
2. What we collect and why
2.1 Website analytics (Fathom Analytics)
We use Fathom Analytics to understand how people find and use our website. Fathom is a privacy-focused, GDPR-compliant analytics service that does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, does not track you across websites, and does not collect or store personal data that could identify you.
Fathom processes the following in aggregate and anonymised form:
- The pages you visit and the time of visit
- The referring website (if any)
- Approximate country and region (derived from your IP address, which is then discarded)
- Browser type, device type, and screen size
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding website usage to improve our service. Because Fathom uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, no consent is required under the ePrivacy Regulations (SI 336/2011).
For full details, see Fathom's own privacy policy: https://usefathom.com/legal/privacy
2.2 Email correspondence
If you email us at [email protected], we will process your email address, your name (if provided), and the contents of your message in order to respond to your enquiry. Our email is hosted by Fastmail Pty Ltd, an Australian provider with servers in the United States; Fastmail acts as our data processor under appropriate safeguards (see Fastmail's privacy policy at https://www.fastmail.com/about/privacy/).
Legal basis: Legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry, or - if your enquiry concerns purchasing or trialling Selfie Cam - taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
2.3 Booking a meeting (SavvyCal)
Our website includes a link to SavvyCal, a third-party scheduling service, which we use to let you book introductory calls. If you click that link and enter your details on SavvyCal, SavvyCal becomes the data controller for that information - we only receive the booking details once you have submitted them.
SavvyCal is operated by SavvyCal LLC and is based in the United States, meaning your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area. SavvyCal relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers. Please review SavvyCal's privacy policy before entering your details: https://savvycal.com/privacy
3. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set any cookies, does not use local storage or session storage to track visitors, and does not embed third-party tracking scripts. You will not see a cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.
If you click through to SavvyCal, that site may set its own cookies - please refer to SavvyCal's policy linked above.
4. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. The only third parties involved in processing data via this website are:
- Fathom Analytics (analytics processor) - EU-based processing
- Fastmail (email processor) - for hosting our email service
- SavvyCal (independent controller, only if you choose to book a call)
5. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (notably to Fastmail in the United States, or to SavvyCal if you choose to use it), those transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission and supplementary measures where required.
6. How long we keep data
- Analytics data: retained by Fathom according to their retention policy; we do not store analytics data ourselves.
- Email correspondence: retained for up to 24 months from the last meaningful exchange, unless required for an ongoing business relationship, contractual obligation, or legal claim.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Request erasure of your data ("the right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to our processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, the Irish supervisory authority:
